Help us run a seamless, unforgettable event!

💰 Finance Lead

You’ll help manage the event budget from start to finish:

Track incoming ticket revenue and sponsorships
Ensure the team stays on budget
Help make purchasing decisions for food, supplies, and swag

~~You connect with our community and help secure funding for the event:~~

~~Reach out to local businesses and organizations~~
~~Maintain sponsor relationships~~
~~Coordinate logo placements, shoutouts, and benefits~~

~~🎤 Mentors & Judges Liaison~~ (FILLED!)

~~You’ll support the people who support our participants:~~

~~Recruit a diverse, experienced group of mentors and judges~~
~~Manage outreach, onboarding, and scheduling~~
~~Make sure mentors and judges feel welcomed, prepared, and appreciated~~
~~Share their info with the marketing team for social/media highlights~~

🏢 Venue, Catering & Logistics Team

You’re the detail wrangler:

Coordinate with the venue and vendors
Secure catering for all three days (snacks + meals)
Help with room setup, signage, supplies, and vendor communication
Assist with volunteer coordination

💻 Technical Team

You’re the go-to person for tech setup and troubleshooting:

Help manage A/V equipment and presentation setup
Support teams and organizers with Wi-Fi or equipment issues
Assist with the website or presentation formatting if needed
Encourage participation from the local tech community

📣Marketing & Promotion Team

You’re the voice of the event:

Maintain the event website and registration pages
Share key updates and visuals on social media
Promote the event to a diverse range of communities
Support branding, signage, and swag production

The Mentorship Team

Mentors help guide teams through the weekend.

We're looking for:

~~Seasoned storyteller or presentation pro? Help teams craft compelling narratives, structure their pitch decks, and present with confidence on stage.~~

~~Marketing Coach~~ (FILLED!)

~~Brand builder, growth marketer, or product launch strategist? Help teams shape effective go-to-market plans, identify the right channels, and reach their target audiences.~~

Sales Coaches

Sales leader or business development expert? Offer guidance on customer acquisition strategies, sales messaging, and closing early deals.

~~Customer Discovery Mentor~~ (FILLED!)

Experienced in customer interviews, user research, and market validation? Guide teams through the process of understanding their target users and identifying real pain points before building solutions.

~~Technical/Engineering Mentor~~ (FILLED!)

~~Software developer or technical founder who has built scalable applications? Help teams make smart technical decisions, choose the right tools, and build functional prototypes quickly.~~

Investment/Funding Mentor

Angel investor, VC, or founder who has raised capital? Guide teams on what investors actually look for and how to build fundable businesses from day one.

We're seeking local entrepreneurs, investors, and startup veterans—think Shark Tank with a San Diego twist. You’ll help choose the winning team and offer sharp, actionable feedback to the next wave of founders.
